Thank you for using Watchio. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Watchio collects, stores, uses, and protects information when you use the application.
Watchio is designed as a local-first watch collection manager. The application allows users to organize personal watch collections, maintain ownership records, store photographs, manage maintenance history, track estimated values, record wearing activities, and create personal archives entirely on their own device.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the application. By downloading, installing, or using Watchio, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Watchio has been designed with privacy as a primary principle. Unlike many cloud-based collection services, Watchio does not require user registration or online accounts.
Unless you intentionally export your own information, your collection remains stored locally on your device.
Depending on how you use the application, Watchio may store information that you voluntarily create inside the app.
If you choose to add images, Watchio may store photographs associated with your watch records. These photographs remain on your device unless you choose to export them.
All valuation figures are entered solely by users for personal reference. Watchio does not provide appraisal services, investment recommendations, financial advice, or market pricing.
If reminders are created, Watchio stores reminder information locally so future maintenance events can be displayed.
Watchio intentionally minimizes data collection.
We do not routinely collect or receive the following information:
Watchio follows a local-first architecture.
Collection records, maintenance logs, valuation history, reminder information, notes, photographs, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
The application is designed so that ordinary usage does not require transmitting your personal collection to external servers.
If you remove the application from your device, locally stored information may also be removed unless you have created your own backups or exports.
Some optional features require permission from the operating system. You may decline any permission, although related functionality may become unavailable.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Camera | Allows you to capture photographs for your personal watch records. |
| Photo Library | Allows you to import existing images into your collection. |
| Notifications | Allows the application to display optional reminders for maintenance and scheduled care. |
| Microphone | Allows you to create optional voice notes associated with your watch records. |
Permissions are requested only when required by a feature that you choose to use.
Granting these permissions is entirely optional.
Watchio offers optional consumable in-app purchases that allow users to add additional watches beyond the free allowance.
Purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple's payment platform. Watchio does not collect or store your payment card information.
We receive only information necessary to confirm that a purchase has been successfully completed.
Consumable credits are used when saving additional watch records and are not restorable after they have been consumed.
When Watchio is launched for the first time, the application may include sample collection data to help users explore available features.
The sample information exists solely for demonstration purposes and does not represent actual user data.
Users may edit or delete the sample content at any time.
Watchio does not sell your personal information.
We do not rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your locally stored collection information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your information is only shared if you intentionally choose to export or share it using system features provided by your device.
Because your collection is primarily stored on your own device, you maintain direct control over how your information is handled.
Watchio may rely on services provided by Apple in order to deliver certain platform features. These services operate under Apple's own privacy policies and terms.
Examples may include:
Except where required for these platform services, Watchio does not transmit your watch collection to external services during normal operation.
Watchio is designed to minimize unnecessary collection of user information.
At the time of this Privacy Policy, the application does not require users to create analytics profiles in order to use core features.
If anonymous diagnostic or performance information is collected in future versions to improve stability or reliability, such information will be limited to technical data and will not intentionally include the content of your personal watch collection.
Watchio is not designed as an advertising platform.
The application does not display third-party advertising based upon the content of your watch collection.
If advertising functionality is introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly before such features become available.
We take reasonable measures intended to help protect information stored by the application.
Although no electronic storage method can guarantee absolute security, Watchio has been designed to reduce privacy risks through local-first storage principles whenever practical.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise children's use of mobile devices.
Watchio may be downloaded and used in many countries and regions.
